I got my Takegawa fi-con type e installed. Everything seems to be fine but id like to reset the ECU.

I unplugged the battery, turned the key to on, hit the starter, turned on the lights, ect. to drain the electronics then let it sit for 30min and hooked everything back up. I don't know if this uses volatile memory or not so since there is no confirmation the ECU was cleared that monkey remains in the back of my head just poking my brain. The Grom and Monkey procedure of shorting the Blue and Green wire doesn't work as we know so do any of you lucky people that were able to purchase the service manual know what the process is if there even is one?

the trail and super cub ecus I know are closed loop at all rpms and throttle positions, so it may not be necessary. just fyi. coming from 1st gen grom myself i see where you're coming from, but pretty sure it isnt nec here. ive also never seen the method described for resetting on these in particular.

I just Installed one too, the Takegawa e stage, i wanted to do the controller first, got big issues, check engine light for the 29 -2 IACV and can not clear the DCTs..
I have the factory manual, install the controller as directed , everything cool until i went to load the pre listed maps..
i removed the takegawa, and tried the stock set up, with the same code, cant clear it.
looks from what Im reading, the problem is now the ECU.
oh boy.....I think I made a big mistake.
I guess Im buying a new ECU as when you get to the end of the trouble shooting it says "replace ECM with a known good one" yikes!

In fact, other then jumping the blue / green wires, and going down the list in the factory manual, on pretty much everything its, "repace the ECU and see" LOL....oh my

thanks, I found the issue was one of the tiny "fingers ? " or contacts in the ECU harness plug had broken off
I can tell you these things are very easy to break.
Make sure the plugs contacts are retracted and all there before re connecting anything.
so the the bike is running well again, but with a check engine light, I cant seem to pull any codes off it, already did order a new ECU from Honda so will see.
