That gave me enough anxiety to NEVER wanna have to take the plastics off...EVER
I know I'd be busting tabs and getting the reassembly all kinds of bassackwards.

Just break the tabs and free yourself. I've taken my body panels off so many times all the booger tabs are gone and still nothing rattles. Now its like a 5 min job to get everything off.

last time i took the side panel off i intentionally broke the remaining clip off after it was off. i put on a thin strip of w some 3m double sided tape, the good trim stuff, on the lip (cant even see it, cut from an old innertube) on the flat side of the cover to keep it from rubbing. zero issues.
