Wanting to get a floor jack for the Red Donkey. Looking at a couple offerings from Harbor Freight and was wondering if anyone here has one. Your thoughts are greatly appreciated.

If you're lifting the bike you should be lifting it from the tires, or center stand. There's really nowhere good to lift the bike with a floor jack that doesn't risk damage. It's not like an enduro with a proper under frame and skid plate that you can throw on a stand.

Thanks for taking time to share that data. Just what I needed to avoid problems.

Yeah, I haven’t looked at the 125 engine guard up close, my other isn’t flat or sturdy. The center stand has been fine for my work.

That is a nice unit, I like how the thing folds up out of the way. Hmm, Christmas is coming..................

That’s one of the great things about it. It folds up small and sets against the wall just fine. I don’t know if you looked at the trailers too, but they are also very nice. I missed a deal, when I could have snagged one for $1200.

Have a couple lifts but no room for the cool ones shown here. If I’m only tinkering for a day or two this is always my go to lift. Full disclosure. I’m still in the running for the Honda trail. Waiting for 23’s to get state side. Have 4 bikes and a couple just don’t work by trying to lift in the center. This works on them all. Will stand it up straight and get the back wheel off the ground enough to spin the tire. The hillbilly in me says a couple concrete blocks and a 4x8 sheet of plywood and I have platform to work from. But usually just off the garage floor and this. https://www.harborfreight.com/motorcycle-swingarm-rear-stand-65620.html

True! Here's the method one Honda dealer in Nara Japan used to lift CT's some time back (...wouldn't actually take this too seriously as a practical shop method, but it's indeed how they were transporting bikes between floors etc there)

I have this one as well, I use it for my rebel 500 which has no center stand. Can't beat the closeout price
