52 year old Yammerhammer? Pretty cool. Here's my 83 year old BMW and my 81 year old BSA.View attachment 1451View attachment 1450
Probably nobody cares but this bothered me when posted way back then. R80 has moved on. Time to set the record straight.
Not a BMW. Chinese Chaing Jiang 750 from the 80's. Frame gussets by the rear plunger mounts are one giveaway.

Here's a 1938 BMW. They come with a curvy blonde and a Jag.:) No gussets.

Nobody would mistake that for a Chaing jiang. The parts mate up nicely and it appears to be in running condition. :ROFLMAO:

Just when I thought there were no new little accessories I wanted for my Trail...look what you made me do!

Luckily this one was only a few bucks and I have to be honest, it makes kickstarting the little engine more enjoyable than it has any right to for such a small change. I always felt like I was going to miss and slip off the thin little metal bar, so I never bothered to use it.

Why do you use it?? Honest question
Honest answer:
- Feels kind of fun to do, a bit nostalgic.
- Quieter start. No one’s ever said they loved the ‘KA-KA-KA’ sound of electric starters on motorcycles. I’m more likely to kick start if I’m downtown around a bunch of people dining or shopping outside.
- It’s there.

Same reasons here. If the electric starter didn't make an unpleasant sound I'd probably use the electric start more.

The only time I use the electric starter is when I am being lazy. It kicks over soooo easy. I figure I'll save the E start for when I get all stove up :ROFLMAO:
