I found a neat little LED bar light at Wallyworld today and thought I'd give it a try. I took my front rack off and welded a bracket to it for mounting it up. The first pic is the stock headlight, second is the headlight and the LED. I think I'm going to like it.

How’d you wire it? I’m looking to do something similar and I want to use the high beam switch.

I wired direct to the battery with a switch on the bars, nothin fancy. I just tried it out, man it's a ton better than stock.

I'm planning on the same since I've found that these aftermarket lights are so crazy bright unless you get a set with dimming circuitry you're only going to run them in high-beam conditions anyway. My plan is to use a relay and tap into the high beam wire in the headlight as the trigger. I have the lights in my possession but I haven't gotten the relay just yet.

So short story, if you want to do what I'm doing you'll need a 12v relay and a fuse and some wire.

I rarely ride at night, but when I do, I want all the light I can get. Too many deer in this area , I hit one several years ago on a BMW and it ain't no fun.

I use light more for conspicuity, than anything else. I want the cagers to to SEE me.
I agree and believe the classic V pattern does that best, with the headlight forming the apex of a triangle. Personally I prefer the two running lights up high so they show up as much as possible above the bodywork of other vehicles. Mind you high is relative in the case of a CT125!

Exactly the same reason for my amber spots...
