Does anyone know who first coined the LRD term for this bike, and when? It fits this beast of burden perfectly. Was just wondering who came up with it and if it applies only to the Trail 125 or its earlier versions too.

When I picked up my CT125, he told me his name was Little Red Donkey. We bonded instantly. The rest, as they say.....

Thanks for the quick response. I'm glad you heard and understood his comment. The name really fits. Do you mind if I follow your lead and use the name for mine? I want to put LRD on my personalized plates.

Ya, go for it! Lets us know when you get it
Thanks man! Still got the paper plate from the dealer and will submit the change request once the steel plate arrives. Illinois bureaucracy has never been quick about anything. I'll send a photo when I finally get it.

AND, believe me when I say that the word DONKEY (which is my current plate) was literally a Federal Case(https://www.jurist.org/news/2020/11/federal-judge-rules-that-california-ban-on-offensive-vanity-license-plates-violates-freedom-of-speech/#:~:text=Federal judge rules California ban,- News - Legal News & Commentary&text=A federal judge has concluded,First Amendment's freedom of speech.). Means folks had to sue the state of California for violation of First Amendment Rights. These folks won in federal court last November. Still, when I submitted my plate request in January (DONKEY) I was denied with a hand written notation stating "Unexceptable". Long story short I wrote a certified letter to the director of DMV and told him I was retired and had nothing better to do than sue him AND would depose him on camera and post the depositions AND I would ask the Federal judge who originally made the ruling for contempt proceeding against the Director. I BS you not, 1 week later I received my plate via overnight currier at my personal mailbox.

Wow. That's quite a story. I worked for the government for 42 years so I can confirm your comment about never underestimating the stupidity.
