I'll keep the thread updated but at least so far it's nice to see that Honda Corporate will go to bat for their owners.
I don’t see that they went to bat with what you posted. You are still 30 days out, maybe….
My dealer was an absolutely no, they submit pictures before and after.

IMO, f**k those guys. I'd have zero faith that the supposedly single technician isn't going to intentionally f**k up the job because you're the one ruffling feathers. I'd speak to Honda Corporate and see if they can arrange to have the part sent to you and do it yourself. Mechanically it's a very simple job.
I agree, however I asked about having the part sent to me for the install but was told by Corporate that they can't do that.

Honestly, at this point I'm just curious to see what they do. I can tell you though, I won't spend another Dollar at that store. This is another reason why I don't feel bad about buying as many parts and accessories as I can on-line.

I appreciate that they reached-out to the Dealer on my behalf and were able to verify my complaint. Maybe somewhere this adds a strike against this Dealer. They have decent reviews on Google so maybe it's just me

it absolutely affect their standing in corporates eyes. keep bitching, the squeaky wheel gets the lever. Its a 5 minute job. ask cooperate if their dealer puts paid customer oil changes over the safety of their customers? that will perk up an ear. Remember: it's a safety recall, not a TSB. they are legally required to perform it in a reasonable amount of time.

How far away is the next nearest dealer? Of course you do not want to cut your nose off to spite your face but if feasible I would let that dealership know they have seen the last dime from me and take my business elsewhere. Convenience vs trust, your call.......?

Not far if I'm honest, at this point it's more the point that getting Honda Corporate involved just pokes the Dealer that much more. Regardless I won't be spending any more money at that Dealership and they know it. For the past four years or so I've bought a new bike every year, a couple of them from this Dealer plus they used to service the valves on my 450R once a year. That's all over now. Will all that drive them out of business? No, of course not but if they piss-off enough people, well that might do something. From what I hear from other people I ride with this Dealer is good at pissing-off customers.

What's sad is this used to be a good place to deal with. Then a couple of years ago some of their key staff changed and things started going downhill.

A chain came in and bought our shop... They could care less about a 125 owner being upset or not buying a tube. Their money is financing and add ons to utv's, service too. Maybe now that interest is a bit higher and money is a bit tighter customer service may return??? I doubt it but we can hope!

I agree, especially since every bike or Quad I've bought from this dealership I've paid cash for. Plus they've mis-spelled my name on every vehicle I've bought there, so if they're looking me up based by my name, it's probably showing I've never even shopped there LOL!

I'm also one who thinks that things might improve once money is harder to get. However I've been hearing talk of that happening for ~3 years now so we'll see what eventually happens.

i was toying w the idea of getting a dr650 a few mos ago before I got the TZR, local dealership asked if i want them to run a finance number, i said 'sure'. they were literally double the credit union, and i have -excellent- credit. (over 800) I'm talking 11% vs 5.2%. :ROFLMAO:

do i finance stuff? sure, i also pay them off very early, hence the good credit score for IF i ever actually need it in an emergency.

but yeah, that's exaclty where they make their money these days. I told the finance guy i have never paid double digit financing on anything, and wasn't about to start then. crazy.
