Well it was bound to happen sooner or later, rode to my storage unit today and getting off the bike my heel caught in the center rack throwing me off balance and falling backwards since I was holding the handle bar I pulled the bike over with me. Luckily there was only 100 people watching so it wasn't embarrassing at all ( may have embellish the number of people watching) sh*t like that always happens to me. Luckily the bike was fine and I'm used to looking like an idiot so no worries. When was your first drop?

I am on drop number 3 on this bike already LOL!!! First was me putting it on the center stand, which had become very routine, I didn't quite make it up for some reason and let it back down but before I had it balanced! Yep went over on the far side. Bent the little slider on the foot peg. Second, I had blown one of my pistons in the middle of nowhere. Came back for the bike later with some friends and a pickup truck. The friend with the pickup tied the bike up and I mentioned that it didn't quite look secure but it was his straps and pickup. Went along with it, shouldn't have . . . The bike gently fell over in the bed during a turn. Third, I have filmed as one of my bloopers . . . had the bike on the center stand while messing with getting the rear tire axle bolt through and pushed the bike forward off of its stand. Fell on my right ear . . . Ouch! But at least the sucker didn't fall all the way over. So . . . you are not alone!!!

Got my first MC when I was 19 years old, brand new Kawaski KZ400. I had less than 5 miles on it when I dropped it. Came to a stop and put my right foot down in a shallow puddle that turned out to be not so shallow  Got a nice dent in the tank about as big as a golf ball 3/4" deep  That wasn't the last scrape that little bike got. In retrospect it is probably a very good thing I didn't get the KZ900 I briefly considered for $700 more:unsure::eek:

After owning a vstrom which is hog heavy, this little bike feels like a bicycle. I’m sure it will happen eventually.
All top heavy too. I dispute that these are dual sports you can go adventuring on. Anyone that's had to pick up a DL650 with a full fuel tank on loose gravel understands why lighter is better.

My first drop was on a ZZR250 / EX250 / Ninja 250, but my gf dropped it before I did, and I bought it pre-dropped. I can't remember my first exactly, but I do remember my the "worst" one: I was on James St. in Northbridge, went to pull out and the disk lock was still attached. Went over, but caught the bike before it touched the ground. Held it there for about 30s hoping that one of the 30-40 people that walked past would stop and help. Nope, not a single effin' person stopped. In the most literal of senses, lay the bike down gently, crawled out from under the bike, and lifted it up on my own.

Aussies are pretty friendly, but holy f city folk are a useless bunch of c*nts when you actually need some help in the moment. Objectively not a bad drop, considering there was zero damage to the bike, but it was the one that made me really lose faith in people and want to move out of the country even more. Considering I'm now in America, you can see how that shit panned out.

I almost always stop to help someone fix a flat tire now. It'll probably get me killed one day, but it's how I am now.

If it does anything to restore your faith in humanity, I pulled my Ducati into a parking lot for a Ducati dealership. To get into the spot you had to do a tight U-turn on a steep off camber hill. I hit the steering lock and my foot couldn't touch the ground because the bike was going over on the downhill side! I swear, the bike hit the ground and by the time I looked up, three guys had run out of the store to help pick it up . . . and this was in the San Francisco Bay area. You are not alone, there are still good folk out there. Keep the faith.

I've had far better experiences in the USA. The kindness and help I experience here is an absolute culture shock, even now after being here more than a decade.

Haven't dropped it yet (though I did drop the bike in the MSF class this weekend whoops, I blame the instructor for shouting something at me and distracting me in the middle of my first double uturn attempt). What I did have though was the bike blew over while parked in heavy wind. It didn't hit the ground thankfully as it fell into a tree and stayed leaning against it. So changed where I park the bike to be more into the usual wind direction and also tied a small guy line that I staked into the ground and loop over the handlebar on the opposite side of the kickstand and hopefully it's more stable now. Hoping to get a shed put in this summer that i'll be able to store it in, have to get an old structurally unsound garage torn down first. Also have a dirt driveway and I swear there's not a single level spot in my entire town let alone in my yard/driveway so finding somewhere to park it at all was kind of stressful.

When I buy used bikes, I try to get them pre-dropped.
I didn't give that reply the respect it deserves, one of the coolest this I've ever heard about motorcycles, if he doesn't do that he should takes a huge set of b**ls thought. Kicking over a new bike 🤣

Pulled out of my garage when this bike had less than 100 miles on it, had to switch hands on the front brake lever so I could activate the remote with my right hand. While squeezing the brake lever with left hand, I inadvertently twisted the throttle just a tad, bike lurches forward like 3’ and it almost went down. I was not using the foot brake because it’s a slope and I needed two feet on the ground for balance. Moving it in the garage the other day and it almost got away from me and went over , but I reacted quick enough and pulled it back my direction. That might of hurt the bike, as my garage floor is concrete. So a couple real close calls and I have had the bike just a couple weeks. Thankfully I’m not a member of the bike fell over club just yet 😀

Rode to my dads place for the first time yesterday. My dad, mom, and aunt were outside when I pulled up and my aunt told me she thought I was a delivery driver lol. But I also learned to not drive on wet grass cause the tires instantly gave out and I dropped the bike. Oops.
