Very nice! How is that little Italica scooter? Not a brand I've heard of before. GY6 50cc engine?
It’s not bad for the cheap entry price. 4 stroke 50cc. Tops out at about 43 mph. Build quality far from Honda’s or Vespa’s but looks good. Has a digital dash with tach, speed, fuel and volts readings. All LED lights but headlamp is weak. Hazard warning lights which is nice. Electric and kick starting. Bought it for my wife but I use it more than she does :p
Forgot to add, Model is called AGE 50.

Very nice...which wind deflector is that you have on the CT?
It’s a universal fit by Puig, not sure of the model number but here is a picture from the instruction sheet and there is a number on it there.

Profile looks great...more coverage than mine...do you have a close up of how you installed it? Thanks!

This the same one?

Yes the one you linked is the same one.
The brackets that came in the kit sat it way too high over the head light so I went digging in my spare hardware drawer and made my own adaptation. It sits in a better position but there aren’t too many options for keeping it in position so I made some stopper points that rest on some stick foam on the red side brackets. Worked out quite well from a wind point of view and I like the looks but I think it’s vibrating at around 5,000 rpm which I may have to look into. Some pictures below may show my rigging of hardware.

NP.
I think the rattle was the headlight and at the weekend I need to use a little Blue Loctite as the screen is making them work loose. Tightened them up and rode it and it seemed to fix it for now. Screen really works and getting over 57 mph top end on the flat al be it briefly as only 235 miles on the bike so far.

I have added a larger 55 liter top case to the bike replacing the storage container I had used. I am happy with the added space and look of this one and the inside is finished nicely. I also decided to clean up the license plate area by cutting off the reflector corner brackets and I think it’s an improvement especially from the side view.

Nice, looks good. A replacement is only $18 if you ever felt like reverting it back to the original too.

Did you find the baseplate for that case mounted easily? To be honest, your photos are way nicer than the product photos for that case.

Thanks for the info on the bracket, good to know.
I agree the new box is much better than I expected and the pictures on line were not great. The bracket was easy to fit but only the inner two Honda pre-tapped bolt holes lined up and I would have liked to secure it with 4 bolts. I have not drilled into the rack and its holding nice and secure.

Do you think it would be possible to add speed holes to the baseplate? Sometimes there's something in the way that prevents it. Of course, you'd have to figure out how to mark the plate in the right area but that's not the end of the world - some cardboard and creativity with a drill could work. But do you think it'd be possible? (it looks like it could be possible)

I am not familiar with speed holes per say but I am sure the base plate can be secured better as there were lots of different slopes etc to use, the restriction was the Honda rack and me not wanting to drill into it.

I like the mods, the only thing I would add is rounding off the corners on the license plate bracket just as a safety issue. Use black touch up paint to cover the grind and your GTG.

I think he meant drill 2 more holes in the baseplate to match the CT rack holes...
