Ok, I've tried to search the forum on the strobing headlight effect on the trail 2023 led headlamp at idle. No joy.

Can anyone help me with the strobing headlight at idle on a 2023 trail ? A capacitor perhaps? I only ask because my s/o is prone to light seizures, and I'm sure certain people on the road are too. Everything I find on the google sends me to sites to buy a strobing light.....

Which light position is strobing, is it the ring light, the headlight, or the high beam? Any electrical accessories added, and if so how are they wired?
Is the bike under warranty and is the battery at a healthy charge? If the battery is charged and healthy and the bike is still under warranty this might be a suitable issue to have covered under warranty if it's reproducible.

It's the main headlight on low, clears up as soon as I rev the engine. New battery, new bike, it reminded me of my old thomas moped

slightly crank up the idle at the throttle body a few hundred rpm, should help. yes, you can actually adjust it (at least on the earlier ones)

LEDs are sensitive to fluctuations in the energy provided. Mine does it, too, and I didn't think twice about it. It is more of a pulse than a strobe, though.

Unfortunately, with the pfg I cannot adjust anything . It's all set Honda and cannot be tampered with.

leds will absolutely flicker with power pulses.

oh, yes you can adjust it, its a small (4mm) allen stud with a 7mm? lock nut that the cable wheel on the throttle body stops against. take the cover off and look at it.

whats pfg?

pretty sure this is it in the fiche (same as my earlier one)

pfg= programed fuel g=i ...injection.... I'm on a tiny touchpad. sorry. I was led to believe there was no tampering with it due to the e.p.a demons.

My new '23 does that as well. Less than 100 miles on it currently, battery fully charged. Almost acting like it is an old bike with a magneto po

My bike is bone stock. I've put 55 miles on it. Was noticing the strobing at factory idle. (thanks to those who told me to adjust throttle cable) but I do not wish to stress the slipper clutch to maintain steady lumens on the main light.

Put the bike on the center stand with a warm engine and warm oil, you will be able to notice when the clutch is engaging vs when the rear wheel is turning from oil drag alone.
There should be a decent gap between the idle spec of "1,400 +/- 100 rpm" and actual centrifugal clutch engagement.

you only need a few hundred rpm, the centrifugal clutch isn't that sensitive. My suggestions is that you may want to call a friend who has more mechanical confidence/experience to help. also, if oyu dont like it, just adjust it back. it will take a TINY amount of adjusting to give you what you need.

The bike is still in break-in period. On days I cannot ride, (due to weather or physical condition) I make sure I make it out to the bike to idle it for 5 mins. But yet the the light flickers........

I would follow M's suggestion and see if raising your idle helps (it should) but I'd also put a meter on the battery and see what the output is when the engine is at idle. My guess is it's too low, which is causing your problem. After that you can decide if raising the idle is something you want to tackle on your own or i you want to take it back to Honda to have them adjust it. FWIW The headlight on my '21 glows steady regardless of engine speed, as it should.

the headlight runs on half wave DC, nature of the beast. my lightweight rd runs all ac led lighting ( no battery)and does the same thing, but at 1500 rpm on *that* bike the headlight & tail light also smooths out. only real way to avoid it is to convert to full DC circuit, the 1st gen groms would do the same thing with an led bulb added and that was the fix. all of this is a huge pain in the ass, simplest solution is the higher idle imho
