Open Face Helmet with Sun Visor (Peak) and Face Shield

Anyone have a recommendation for an open face helmet that has both a sun visor(peak, not the drop-down) and a face shield? I don't want anything that requires the use of goggles.
I already have a Shoei RF-1400 that I use daily but am looking for second helmet options.

The only option I have come across is this Bell Mag-9:

I bought this LS2 Drifter which has a peak, a drop down sun visor, and removable chin bar but I didn't like it.
Reasons:
  1. I didn't like the drop down sun visor, it barely covers the entirety of my eye area.
  2. The sun peak is pretty small, not sure if it will actually help block the sun.
  3. The helmet itself feels cheap, especially the plastic removable chin bar.
  4. The fit is weird. Maybe because I'm used to my Shoei but the LS2 felt too close to my face with the chin bar on.

I'm also considering a modular option but there are plenty of options for those. Just want to look through all my open face options before moving to looking for a modular one.

Since you're using a Shoei RF-1400 you're not afraid of throwing money at the problem. I'm wondering if the Scorpion EXO-AT series helmets could remove the jaw. If so, they'd probably fit your needs. I'm at work right now but I can try and remove the jaw of mine tonight when I get home. that being said, I don't think the (sun blocking) visor portion is particular large on this helmet.

This is a pretty cool modular option, thanks!
I wear sunglasses so I don't care for the drop down sun visor. I want a peak because my commute has plenty of spots where the sun beats down on my face while waiting in traffic. Putting the face shield up helps get air on my face but doesn't actually block the sun. I'm equating it to wearing a hat.

Great question, definitely interested in the answer you find.

The Scorpion EXO-AT960 is my current top choice for a modular option.

I really like the helmet, although condensation definitely seems to build up and since the Trail 125 is a slower bike, it has a little trouble shedding the water off the front of the visor on the 950 model even if you turn your head sideways. Effectively the visor should be replaced with something pinlocky and given a hydrophobic coating to make it perfect for me.

Good to know! I'll keep that in mind if I do end up with it.

I really can't think of a reason not to wear a full face helmet...

Also if you need to look down immediately in front of you while riding. 3/4 helmets with no chin bar are the norm for trials riding, even in sanctioned professional competitions.

when has a chin bar ever blocked visibility? never in my 30 + years of riding (including tail riding). think it has more to do with goggle clearance ? beats me.

Previous to buying my Goldwing, I always wore a full-face. The problem was that the chinbar combined with the seating position really obstructs a lot of the bike and I felt uncomfortable. Since I bought my 3/4, that's pretty much all I wear now. I'll wear my full-face again on other bikes again once Shoei replacement pads are available again. They've been out of stock for a year.

Been riding since 1974. Twice in those years my helmet saved my brain from being scrambled. Once was a full face, once a brain bucket. Other than just sitting at a light I find the full face to be the most comfortable especially as the speed increases anyway.

I've gone with the shoei neotec 2 modular, best of both worlds. A bit pricey, but my dad's old shoei saved me as a youth from a case of caved in face while riding into an unknown (to me) concrete vee drainage ditch in the middle of a flat field at night..... https://shoei-helmets.com/neotec-2-helmet-technology/
It did not save me from the (correction) of using his helmet once he found the scrapes on his Goldwing helmet though .:)

Helmets specific to trials sit higher and are designed for more peripheral visibility, airflow, and lighter weight. Regular motocross helmets aren't great at low speed like that, try looking at where your front and rear tires are making contact with the ground with one on and the chin bar may be in your way, it might hit your chest, and it might hit your shoulder. Some English riders wear full face for trials, but it's uncommon. At 3-4 mph limbs usually take an injury to save the rider's face.

This is a really, really minor point on road riding but it's something I notice when switching between the EXO AT950 and my Shoei RF helmet - on the Shoei the viewport is much smaller and the chin protection blocks my view. I have to look down to see the speedometer when wearing the Shoei, I don't have to do that on the EXO, I can keep my head position and see the speedometer with ease. The only time this actually matters is when I leave my blinker on unexpectedly or if the shift light comes on and for some stupid reason I'm ignoring the engine's singing, it definitely blocks the view of the instrument cluster and blinking lights.

I would never give up my full face helmet for such a flimsy reason though. For starters, it's a shiteload warmer in winter.

EDIT: Clarification point - cops do not seem to care much about a CT125 speeding, so I guess it would matter slightly if you lived in a place where speed enforcement was actual enforcement.
