was going to go tubular mounts but sized angie on bike and didn't need that much of a lift, so too some stock i had, fired up the mill and the mig and whipped up these mounts. took an hour at lunch at work. (have a bridgeport there as well). drilled the holes in the arm at home, went 1.1" deep, tapped to M8. used 4 stainless m8x1 20mm socket heads. repainted with a good coat when i got home. the bar stock is a bit overkill but one peg can hold my 210 lb frame no problem, i did test it. Used a set of aluminum pegs from ebay, like 15 bucks for the set. bought eh seat from Narwhal on here (thanks) and now if i want i have passenger capacity.

in case you noticed, the stock i used had threaded holes int eh bottom part. they came to me that way out of my scrap stock of steel . i did counter bore the holed though with a 9/16" end mill. Yes, the bolt hole centers were the same, dumb luck. I lathed the round part to counter bore the allen bolt in there.

Well done. I've always said that you can go anything, with the right tools and 20 years experience. (y)

What's under that towel, with the chrome fender and two sprockets?

truth be told, what i made could be done with a vice, half inch drill, m8 tap and correct size drill bits with stock & hardware from home depot or lowes. get welded at muffler shop. easy as pie. ebay footpegs.

side note: in that pic to the left of the 67 is the 72 R5, and to the left of that is my 70 R5. to the left of that is the cb1100. :D
