I picked up my CT 125 on 7-6-2023 and ordered the Honda Service Manual while I was there. With $16 shipping, the manual was about $59. It will be here in about a week.

I live alone and have no one to assist me, so they delivered the bike on a trailer. In all, it was a painless experience and everyone was pretty pleasant!

Several things that I learned from reading this thread: Price comparisons should probably be apple-to-apple regarding State tax and registration costs. There seems to be a general perception of scarcit vs. supply, which might contribute to higher costs at the dealer or private sale. It’s not always fair to trust the dealer setup regarding basic stuff like oil level or chain tension. All good stuff to know if you’re thinking of buying a bike.

I don’t have a dog in this fight but call the dealership or email them. When you pin their feet to the floor they will give you their price and it may surprise you. Give this guy a try jody.williamson@sportcycles.com

Dealer the poster mentioned. Not my dealer. Just trying to clean up some details for you. That guy can tell you his inventory and location if you really are interested.best I can do for you. That’s the email they replied to me using.

Just picked one up for $4460 out the door. Local was selling for $6200 out the door so I went 800 miles away.
Where did you go if you dont mind my asking? I feel pretty hopeless here out west. It seems like everywhere I go it's right around that price. I wouldnt mind going 800 miles at all. The one I looked at was a 2023 in green btw.

The Price don't matter much, those of us who were able and could come up with the funds already got a deal no matter the price. With the state of affairs presently, the dollar is set for a correction, I think. So as the buck is becoming worthless Fiat money, we are the winners who ....get one.... before calamity strikes. ........
Yeah and use it to get away from civilization carrying our MRE's and ammo when shtf happens.

Here in NH I paid $4600 OTD about 3 weeks ago. Every dealer (5 different ones) I called or emailed in MA, ME and NH had one in stock and other than one was selling it at MSRP. Went with the closest to me.

Mine that's set to arrive in the next week or so was $4,797 but includes everything including tags and title ($124). Sales Tax is 8.7% in Tucson. Bike sold at MSRP, $3,999 and included Honda charging a destination fee, $200, and a freight surcharge of $100. Supposedly, Musselman Honda is getting three. I don't know if the other two are spoken for.

crazy you found one in Arizona for that cheap, I thought that was another state that was absolutely robbing people with markups. I may just give them a call..

*update* called Musselman and just put my deposit down. Driving down from Reno next week! This post saved me tons of money. My OTD is 4640(my tax and title are cheaper here in Nevada). Hopefully it's not too good to be true. The place in Carson spoke very poorly of dealers in Arizona promising MSRP but charging hidden fees once you get there. All their reviews plus the sales person said Musselman is trustworthy. I'm extremely excited and anxious and cannot thank this forum and this user enough. Either way I'm not paying 6200!

Musselman Honda is one of the original Honda dealerships in the US that goes back to 1959, but was another brand motorcycle shop starting in the late 40's. They're good people and easy to deal with. If you've put down a deposit, you're all set. Your Carson dealer didn't lie, our main issue in Arizona is the big chain dealerships, they add a lot of BS fees to allow them to make more money. They also have a large staff turn over in sales and in service. I'm glad it worked out for you.

I know this is a Honda Forum, but we in Tucson are also blessed with an outstanding BMW Motorcycle Dealer also, Iron Horse BMW. I bought my first BMW there in 2011, and the Salesman, Jim, who sold it to me is still there along with Marcus, in Service who's a super mechanic/technician. Going there is like going to Cheers, Everyone Knows Your Name. That's never going to happen at big chain dealership.

Again, thank you so much for this lead and reassurance. I'm already planning my trip for next week! It feels surreal that I will have one of these and be on the trails of Northern Nevada by next weekend!
