I plan I buying this and wanted to know how hard it was to install this. I see people say to wire it through the headlight or ignition switch.

The ignition switch wires are accessible within the headlight, you can tap into them there.

You can buy this power port that is plug-and-play, then plug the USB cable for the QuadLock into it. That is what I have on my Honda Trail right now and I have plugged my QuadLock wireless charger into it.

What year Honda Trail do you have? The 2021-2022 also has a 4-pin diagnostic plug on top of the battery that you can buy a connector for and use for switched power, that is how I wired my Garmin GPS. The 2023 model updated that plug design there and I haven't seen a connector sold for it with the intent of powering accessories, though it's likely still possible, would just require some research to find the plug and pin out.

I got a 2023 last week and haven't found much information on it regarding electrical accessories

Edit: should have mentioned I just wanted to do the direct hookup without the USB hub. I really have no need to have a port upfront.

If you want to hard wire it to a switched power source with the 12V-24V charging head then the wires for the 3-prong ignition plug inside the headlight assembly is probably the way to go. You can use Posi-Taps available at many hardware stores to tap the power and ground. There's a video on that here:

Personally I'd go with the USB charging head and pair it with this:
You would end up with a weatherproof setup without having to tap any wires, easily completely reversible, and you get a USB and SAE connector out of it should you want to connect something else at a different point in time. It does cost more though.

Wiring diagram can be found at the back of the Service Manual, and it shouldn't be significantly different for the 2023 than for prior years, especially pertaining to lights and ignition.

I have the wireless charger, antivibration mount, running to a USB connection that goes into the headlight. Works great.

If you go with the USB charging head, exposure to water over time is a thing you'll have to worry about. The actual USB powered plug that sits in the bike is pretty cheap so you can treat it as a consumable, but those Quadlock cables get pricey and make you think twice since they're generically just a normal USB cable with a slightly fatter plug (at 3-5x the price). A silicone "hat" would probably work well enough on a regular cable. It's not like a, "don't do it" just a, "buy two cables because you're gonna need the other one eventually".

The QuadLock USB cables used to be a fairly standard cable but sometime ago (I think between 2019-2020) they added this plug seal that has soft flanges to the USB-C side of the cable.

The flanges seat into the back of the wireless charging head and help prevent water from making contact, they also help to keep the cable plugged in. There was an issue with the regular style of cables where water made contact with the plug and prevented charging. QuadLock's temporary solution before redesigning the cable was that they mailed out small oval shaped o-rings that fit over the USB-C connection and were supposed to help seal it, but then the plug wasn't seated deep enough into the port so it was prone to falling out. Just some detail and history on the cable. I haven't had an issue with the newer cables yet, but I agree it's worth considering ordering a spare if you go the USB route since it is a cable designed specifically to seal into the QuadLock charging head.
