Ride with Warro, starting a CT125 with no battery

Warro was the first English speaking YouTuber to get a CT125, and so was the go-to channel for information before the Trail 125 finally showed up in the USA. Here is one of his videos from over four years ago:

I've never done it without a battery, but with a completely dead battery it started by kick starter and if I recall correctly my ABS light wouldn't stop flashing and my turn signals wouldn't work. So keep an eye out for that if you end up in a dead battery situation and have to kick start.

Yes I had the same symptoms, but the indicators will eventually work when the rpm increase. The ABS light will eventually cease flashing but will require a battery voltage to be present before extinguishing

Mine has a weak battery right now, but I don't see much riding in it's future until Summer so don't want to buy a new battery for it right niw. The few times I ride it between now and then I plan on using the kick-starter. I really wish more dual-sports had that option.
