Hi, Now that I have my CT125, I have lots of questions for the group. I will search for answers before posting new threads, but I anticipate starting some threads because I can’t find answers.

Questions like:

- Should I use synthetic oil, or just use GN4?
- Can you put an oil filter on the bike?
- What are your favorite sites for sourcing parts?
- What do you carry/recommend for a repair kit?
- Is it okay for me to wear my full leathers when I ride my CT?

Actually, on the last question, I don’t care. I will wear my full leathers. They are warm and comfy when it’s 40 degrees out. And I am too old to care much what other people think any more.

Great questions. If you are in the United States I'd say ask your dealer on most of those.
If you bought from a Honda dealer they won't have any idea what "full leathers" means. Go down
the street to the Harley-Davidson dealer, while riding your CT125 in full leathers and ask them.
I am loving Youtube channels for many great vids on the CT125.
My two CT125's have not arrived yet and I'm not counting on them until May of 2022.
That's OK, I'm cool with that.
So, I'm studying and learning too.
P.S. I ride in full leathers and with gauntlet gloves and don't care what others think.
I'm 60 years old, what do I care, people are sheep.
Hang out on Youtube looking up guys out there who have done a great job for 12 months
on these things and you can't go wrong.
BTW never ask a single question about Oil on a forum because people will jump down your throat.
I won't but others will. LOL.
It's a cardinal sin to ask about oil. Even the Pope knows that.
Post pics of your bike and you in full leathers.

Me, Pondering my first ride on my CT125, wearing my USA blackout helmet and Fox Creek leather jacket. The bike matches the house/shed color scheme.

On oil, with my truck(F-150 V6 turbo) I only run full synthetic, and did the same on the Harley. It made the engine run cooler and shift ‘better’. I have been watching a lot of YouTubers, and am glad there is a lot of good content out there. There are so many mods/accessories I want to add.

- Can you put an oil filter on the bike? DOUBT IT
- What are your favorite sites for sourcing parts? I'M A BIG FAN OF BEEZ DEALS
- What do you carry/recommend for a repair kit? I MADE MY OWN USING A T-HANDLE SOCKET SET, SCREWDRIVER AND 3 WAY ALLEN SET. WILL PROBABLY ADD MORE AS NEEDED

I intend to ride my CT125 like a scooter. I will not ride with flip flops. Will ride with tennis shoes.
Will ride with a jeans and a T shirt.
I may or may not ride with a helmet. Helmets thank God are not required in Illinois. I wear them but may ride a bit
without one. Just me, I'm a rebel. James Dean was a rebel. As for that oil filter, we may see an aftermarket
come along with an oil cooler or filter but that's not available to my knowledge.

- Should I use synthetic oil, or just use GN4?
I've been doing my oil changes with GN4. You can't go wrong with what the factory recommends, and it helps you avoid choice overload and the various religions formed around engine oils. You can buy a gallon jug either online or from your local powersports/Honda store. https://www.rockymountainatvmc.com/parts/pro-honda-gn4-4-stroke-motor-oil-p

- Can you put an oil filter on the bike?
Right now there are aftermarket engine cylinders available with oil line connections to add an oil filter or cooler. I've only seen the oil cooler added, not a filter yet. For other Honda 125cc bikes Kitaco makes a clutch cover with an integrated oil filter connection, but it's not currently available for our bike's engine which has a few differences with it being an automatic and kickstart. I'm hoping they do release one that fits our bike. It being an automatic makes cleaning the oil filter screen and centrifugal filter more of a pain.

- What are your favorite sites for sourcing parts?
I have been buying aftermarket parts on eBay, BeezDeals, and WeBike with this filter: https://japan.webike.net/HONDA/CT125+Hunter+Cub/14328/mtop/
Best experiences have been with WeBike and their support has been exceptional.
Worst experiences have been with BeezDeals, slow shipping, they carry a lot of low quality parts mixed with the good ones, and slow customer support.
For OEM parts I've been using RevZilla.com and hondapartshouse.com, though some parts are more available on WeBike than on those US market sites.

- What do you carry/recommend for a repair kit?
I've been piecing together a kit, for now it's a Leatherman multi-tool, sockets and socket wrench, Allen keys, tube patch kit, tire spoons, Dynaplug 12v air compressor, JB Weld, duct tape, zip ties, super glue. For the tools themselves I've just made note of what sizes I've needed for working on the bike so far, and then add them to the kit. The ADVRider.com forum has some great threads on tool kits and considerations, it's going to be unique to anyone's riding situation and preferences.

- Is it okay for me to wear my full leathers when I ride my CT?
Absolutely! I'm not an All The Gear All the Time purist, but I do wear an Aerostich R-3 Light one-piece suit with armor most of the time if I'm going to be on the bike more than 15 minutes. People can judge all they want, it's not their skin on the road when there's a road hazard or another vehicle finds itself at the same point in space and time as yourself.

Enjoy the ride (y)
