- Should I use synthetic oil, or just use GN4?
I've been doing my oil changes with GN4. You can't go wrong with what the factory recommends, and it helps you avoid choice overload and the various religions formed around engine oils. You can buy a gallon jug either online or from your local powersports/Honda store.

- Can you put an oil filter on the bike?
Right now there are aftermarket engine cylinders available with oil line connections to add an oil filter or cooler. I've only seen the oil cooler added, not a filter yet. For other Honda 125cc bikes Kitaco makes a clutch cover with an integrated oil filter connection, but it's not currently available for our bike's engine which has a few differences with it being an automatic and kickstart. I'm hoping they do release one that fits our bike. It being an automatic makes cleaning the oil filter screen and centrifugal filter more of a pain.
- What are your favorite sites for sourcing parts?
I have been buying aftermarket parts on eBay, BeezDeals, and WeBike with this filter:

Best experiences have been with WeBike and their support has been exceptional.
Worst experiences have been with BeezDeals, slow shipping, they carry a lot of low quality parts mixed with the good ones, and slow customer support.
For OEM parts I've been using RevZilla.com and hondapartshouse.com, though some parts are more available on WeBike than on those US market sites.
- What do you carry/recommend for a repair kit?
I've been piecing together a kit, for now it's a Leatherman multi-tool, sockets and socket wrench, Allen keys, tube patch kit, tire spoons, Dynaplug 12v air compressor, JB Weld, duct tape, zip ties, super glue. For the tools themselves I've just made note of what sizes I've needed for working on the bike so far, and then add them to the kit. The ADVRider.com forum has some great threads on tool kits and considerations, it's going to be unique to anyone's riding situation and preferences.
- Is it okay for me to wear my full leathers when I ride my CT?
Absolutely! I'm not an All The Gear All the Time purist, but I do wear an Aerostich R-3 Light one-piece suit with armor most of the time if I'm going to be on the bike more than 15 minutes. People can judge all they want, it's not their skin on the road when there's a road hazard or another vehicle finds itself at the same point in space and time as yourself.
Enjoy the ride
