after 56 years the rod bearing on my 67 finally gave up. had to rebuild it, so got some parts, a donor crank, new bearings, and off i went.
luckily didnt lock up. new piston already arrived, this ones toast.
missing rollers
cage just came apart. wasn't raising hell or doing anything out of the ordinary
replacement rod to left.
11 tons to split, took 8.5 to put back together.
trued and ready for install.
runout was 0.002" . which is actually half of max spec, factory range was 0.0012" to 0.004" (which is ridiculous.. and no thats not a typo).
hope to get it back together this weekend.
