Rotopax question

The CT125 fuel capacity is 1.4gal and I've found 2 Rotopax cans, 1gal and 1.75gal with only a $6 price difference and 1/2" in depth...

Has anyone installed either of these or have any opinions?

I installed a side-mount bracket from Beez Deals (https://beezdeals.com/product/gcraft-multi-side-rack-fit-for-honda-ct125/) and I believe I'll need the pack mount (https://rotopax.com/pack-mount.html). I probably should've just ordered the off-brand one Beez sells when I placed my order, but with shipping costs it's a wash (https://beezdeals.com/product/3l-5l-fuel-tank-petrol-canister-kit/).

@Kcboom10 I already have a small rear seat and luggage rack extension on the back and a side mounting bracket ready to receive the Rotopax, just need to confirm what parts I actually need. I like the way you did that though!

I have these which I use on my scooters attached to a milk crate. Think it will not work laying flat like the Rotopax, might leak?

Honest question about the rotopax, we just had the overland expo here in flagstaff and saw dozens and dozens of these mounted in the sun on various rigs. I guess I wonder where you are riding more then 150 miles without seeing a gas station and like the sand boards, it’s fuel in plastic under uv rays really good to put in your bike after a few months??
If it’s for looks I get it, I bought racks for mine for no purpose and I have sand boards in the motor home on the inside…
My 75 has the metal extra can but the range is way lower and I keep it empty.
Our Baja bikes have a 130 mile range and we use Gatorade bottles if we need to go further.

Mine is empty most of the time, but when I go out for a few day of camping I fill it. I've needed to use it twice and I'm always glad it's there.

i'll never ever need one, but i do have 2 primus 1 liter fuel bottles just in case (for the grom since its 2t actually). i figure at 100+ mpg on the trail, I can probably get anywhere i need to as about as remote im ever going to get is the back end of tellico plains w 1 of those 1 liter bottles. i did carry one when we went to the gap area this summer just in case.
