Rusty brake disc rotors

With outside parking and regular riding the rotors keep rusting outside the contact area. It mostly washes off, but then returns over time. Considered putting something like Quick-Glo on it, but don't want that to find its way down to brake pad contact area if it sweats from heat or gets washed down there with rain or snow. I'll likely just let them keep rusting until I'm due for new pads and then match the new pads with new aftermarket rotors.
Figured I'd post to warn others of the issue and see if anyone else is encountering it, or has tips to address it. Thanks

any rotor will rust if its left outside. you can take it off, get it blasted, tape the contact area off, and either paint it or get it powder coated. note its coming primarily from the cutouts which appear to be laser cut or stamped out.
