Service manual vs. basic manual

I just looked through my new service manual page by page. It refers to “basic” service manual in many places. what is it and how can I get it? I was specifically looking for directions on tightening the drive chain.

But seriously I was pretty disappointed that I need to get two manuals? Does the basic cover more than just the Trail? Anyone have a link to one for sale?

Actually, I think the Super Cub C125 manual which is twice as thick at the CT would be a better buy as they share the same basic engine.

Guys sorry to shift topic, has any one removed the bar end weights? normally I would slacken the centre screw and out it would pop, the CT end screws seem mighty tight, any
advise please?

please disregard...one tin of Brewdog Punk IPA, a good sized hammer, an inpact driver...job done

Not to rain on anyone's parade, but I felt the common service manual was a waste of $50.
It covers virtually any Honda with driven wheels.
I doubt I will ever use it.
