Hello friends,
I know that with other bikes folks will find a way to delete or eliminate the side stand sensor. I see in the owner's manual that this little Trail 125 has a side stand sensor that will kill the engine if the side stand lowered. I see the purpose, but in the name of simplicity I'm sure some folks will be looking to eliminate the sensor. Has anyone done this yet or figured it out? Part of the beauty of old-school type simple machines is the lack of gizmos that can leave you stranded on the trail - and any sensor designed to kill the engine presents a potential threat. For example, on my Raptor 660R I recently deleted the parking brake sensor, and folks typically go on to eliminate the clutch sensor as well.

I'm leaving it but disabled it on my trail moto, as it will be one of our baja taco and beer runners i can see the opportunity for it to save our bacon, you just jump the wire. It has killed mine once, you can start the bike in gear so may be nice to have, don't really see a downside, if it failed id just cut and twist the wires together.

I would bet there are not 2 CT125's the same an average of one hour after arriving home.

That is very possible. I've noticed that partly what makes them so fun - kinda like the Pioneer 500 of the sxs world.

I got the part from Kitaco and installed it when I had it tore down to put my Opmid speedometer on it. Works perfect. Plug N Play.
