I used the SP Takegawa rack to mount a Givi S250 Toolbox and I'm very pleased with how it turned out. This toolbox was chosen because of how naturally its shape fits the available space. The plastic construction is very high density and would probably survive being driven over by a truck without being crushed. The box has provisions for mounting on both sides. I tapped and filled the mounting holes on the outward facing side with with M5 x 10 screws to make it look more finished.
I selected this rack to mount the box because it attaches in 3 places, and from what I could assess from the pictures of various racks, it would allow me to tuck the box further back under the Honda rack than other options. I was initially concerned that if I mounted it too far back it would be hard to access the tools. But this is not a problem since the rear blinker is flexible and easy to push out of the way. The rack is quite a bit smaller than I was expecting, but not in the least bit flimsy, and it’s very nicely finished. It comes with a helmet lock. The intended mounting location of the lock is blocked by the toolbox but I was able to relocate it.
The rack and box are joined by 3D printed parts which clamp on to the rack from both sides. I am using only one of the built-in mounting holes on the rack and fortunately it allows for the box to be well positioned. There is about 10 mm space between the box and the stock rear suspension springs.
