Received my 2024 125 Trail about a month ago and now have it plated and riding it. Great little bike but after riding motorcycles for 50 + years its taking some getting use to of not having a clutch and downshifting at various speeds. This will all come together I'm sure. My concern or question is this, I find the speedo gauge to not be very bright at all and having quite a time reading it it. Anyone else find this difficult to see or know of a way to brighten the readout up? Thanks for your replies.

You're not alone. It's one of the things that pushes people into buying an aftermarket gauge. In direct sunlight I have to hold a hand over the gauge and cast a shadow to read it.

Believe it or not it's possible to get a ticket for going over the speed limit, or under the minimum. There are some areas where it's strictly enforced, and the CT125 is capable of speeding, such as the Blue Ridge Parkway. More often than for checking speed, I'm usually checking the fuel gauge or trip meter to figure out when I need to start keeping an eye out for a gas station.

Yes, not a big issue but I just thought if there was a way of adjusting the brightness that I might not know about that would be good to know. Thanks .

The 1975 ct-90 speedo hasn't worked in years and guess what??? No tickets! I've heard stories of tickets for under.... But never an actual case, have you?

I suspect you're pretty familiar with the area you're riding in on that bike which would make it less of an issue. I wouldn't test your luck down in Jerome, AZ though, that's one of the places a number of Scooter Cannonball riders have received tickets over the years for speeding in the 10-20 mph zones.

A ticket specifically for driving or riding under the minimum, I have not, but it's a reason to be pulled over which can lead to something else. For Ed March and Rach (C90 Adventures) crossing Canada on their Honda C90s, a stop supposedly for riding too slow lead to their Super Cubs being loaded on a trailer and impounded for not conforming to Canadian vehicle safety requirements as temporary import bikes from the UK. As the fast cannonballers say, "Don't break the law while you're breaking the law."
