Speedometer/other issues update

So, last week I posted about my speedometer not working and I followed all your advice and I brought it into my local dealership.
(ABS light was going off, shifting felt janky/jerky/engine felt/sounded strange).

Anyway, I originally bought my trail out of state, so I brought it to my local Honda powersports dealership because it’s close. I got a bad feeling about this place, and they have horrible reviews. I told the head of the service department about all my issues and he claimed “he can attempt to fix the speedometer, but he can’t touch my shifting or transmission until I have 600 miles on the bike”.

So far, they’ve kept my motorcycle for three days, and they can’t diagnose the issue. So they’ve contacted Honda corporate and they’ve agreed to send a specialist technician.

I have no idea when the specialist will come out to my dealership, I have no idea how long this issue is going to take. They told me they’ve pulled the whole bike apart and they cannot figure it out.

I’m not sure what I’m looking for from you guys and girls, but I needed somewhere to vent a little. It’s got me a little bummed, a little frustrated. I love this bike, but I’m off to a bad start after my first 20 miles. I plan on escalating the issue with Honda corporate so that way they can assign a case manager.

"They told me they’ve pulled the whole bike apart"
That's scary. I hope that's just a figure of speech. I went on a pretty long ride through the city last weekend and gave the bike a good urban workout. About 50 miles in it started clunking when shifting both up and down. The bike had just hit 500 miles roughly. I stopped in at an old friend's house on that side of town and adjusted the clutch via the adjustment screw/nut and it went away.
That won't fix the speedo, but it might address some of the noises and shifting issues.

You have waited this long, let them do what it takes. Sucks during the summer but it may be a month or two…
