I had the factory crash bars, skid plate, and exhaust heat shields powder coated in a high heat black. I like it much better now than the silver bits that it came with. I've re-drilled the fender, moved the horn up, added Shinko 244 Golden Boy 3.0 tires front and rear, GCraft Gen 2 rear rack with a Yeti Sidekick Drybag and the factory harness fast charging USB/USB-C outlet on the dash.

I am still waiting on the rear seat pad, rear pegs, center rack and front rack and a collapsible crate for when not running in two-up configuration. I am pretty happy with how it turned out, it definitely looks more like a "Trail" now and should serve as a good run-about around town and for when on vacation.

I really like the look of the black exhaust shields and the skid plate/engine bars. Might have to follow this route although I don’t need the Bobby tires for my intended use. Great looking machine you have (y)

I was talking to my partner about powder coating exactly the same parts and she was a little negative about the idea, certainly on her bike. Seeing the results though I'm going to speak with the coating guy and see what his availability is for April and I'm getting it done as soon as the bike arrives on island.
That really does look good. Lovely job.
