Taking the wobble out of the Black Widow carrier

In stock form this thing wobbles like crazy. I welded all of the movable sections to make it as rigid as possible but the real fix was bolting the ratcheting portion of the straps to the bottom of the frame. One per side. That really took all of the flex out of it. The straps go over the bumper and attach to the main frame. Very solid.

I’m surprised that the anti-wobble device that came with the carrier doesn’t remove the wobble. It does on mine ???

An anti wobble bolt works well also. As an aside, I added a kick stand bar to aid in solo loading.

bolting the clamshell to the rack, thats clever. i've used straps to stabilize a carrier i have as well, (but tot eh sub frame of the car) i might adopt that method
