The last straw - I cut off the heel section of my shift lever!

IMG_4289.JPG Adios!

With my size 13 boots, I knew I had to change something about the shift lever if I was going to be happy with the Trail. My legs are so long that I really couldn't even comfortably bring my foot back far enough to heel shift if I wanted to.

So, I bent the shifter inward like many of you have, and that worked really well...until I tried to install the Revolution passenger pegs which mount on top of the swingarm bolt plates,
so THEN I had to either bend the heel BACK outwards again or say goodbye to it once and for all...

Actually super happy with how it turned out. I also have the G Craft shift spline support, and the shifting is light, snappy, and now looks very clean to me.

Been thinking about doing that myself. Accidentally shifted up when I didn't want to while standing up over some rough ground.

I lopped mine off. Will never look back.
That and removing the kickstarter, two free ergo mods that improve the bike drastically especially for standup tight work.

Need a little more height out of the bars next.
