Maybe its just the browser I use but I don't get ads.
I didn't even realize this forum had ads. I had to open it up in a browser that doesn't have an adblocker or tracker blocking enabled to see the Google ads.
@TrailBoss do you mind disclosing any details of the ad setup and forum financials? I imagine the ads don't do much other than soften how much you end up paying for domain name renewal, hosting, and forum software licensing. I understand it can be a hassle when it comes to tax implications, but have you considered taking donations to help cover forum operating costs?

I have so many ad blockers in my life that I similarly has no clue there were ads on this site. I know this website probably loses money and donation click-through rate is notoriously awful (i.e. why Wikipedia has to constantly beg for donations) so I understand why the ads are up.
I am also on the train of wanting to know the financials. Wouldn't mind throwing a few bucks out to keep the lights on. Niche forums like this are so much better than the alternatives, and very much worth the small investment.

There should not be ads on this forum. Is that Tapatalk or a browser? If a browser, iOS or Android, and which browser?
Nevermind, it's fixed.
All I'm going to say is Google is one invasive f**k of a company. I registered the site for Adsense, just to see what options there are for potential ad hosting vs a membership (paid supporter) program. Google automatically opted my site into an "ads experiment" since I "consented" to something called "auto optimization" along the way somewhere.
The good news is I just learned that ad revenue is absolutely pitiful and I will not whore out this forum to it. I'm going to start up an optional membership program for those who find value that want to freely contribute to the operations here. It's true, this site makes $0 and costs me money and time to run.

I do that with my site, I just run it for free including for vendors. about every 2 yrs i get some t shirts printed up and sell them.. don't make much but it offsets the cost a bit and people like t-shirts. Just saying. and yes, ad free. Google is a MF for sure sometimes.

I never see ads. Using a tablet, android I think. I like t shirts, quality ones.
