After some deliberation I decided to order the Thule rack for my bike. My bike will be used as a local run around where I will need to take shopping bags and other small items with me. Here are a few pictures of my installation and parts. I decided to use the original fender to rack mounting points because I like to keep things simple. I used a standard nut as a jam nut against the shouldered nut once set at the same 18MM depth as the factory fender bolts. I used a Unibit to make the slide holes in the Thule rack "round" in order to fit over the studs. All in all a very clean and neat installation.
