If you're comfortable with committing to it, could also buy 3 tires. You're likely to go through 2 rear tires around the same mileage as you go through 1 front tire.

Out of stock,no word when will be getting anymore. After they took the order, they notify me.I guess I am stuck with the 241s, or continue to ride a 244 in back with the OEM stock in front.

That's a bummer. Also sounds typical.
I have been rolling on IRC TR-1s I purchased through DennisKirk, they're very similar to the SR241s but the rubber is more firm and doesn't wear as quick which was my only real issue with the SR241s. I would take the SR241s over them for more trials type riding like on slickrock, but for anything else the difference isn't noticeable enough to outweigh the longevity. On the DennisKirk site they're $9 less expensive each than the SR241s in the same size, too.
