Toolbox Mod

Thought I would share this mod. The tookbox that comes with the bike is so tiny as to be nearly useless. So I used the same mounting point and fabricated a bracket out of angle aluminum and bolted on a waterproof case (Nanuk 903). It is similar to a pelican style case but comes in red. A pretty easy mod and it tripled the amount of tool box space. That area is pretty large and protected by the rack.IMG_3450.jpeg

Neat looking toolbox. The bracket on the bike has a documented history of cracking under dynamic loads so a backing plate and through bolting might be worth considering

Great use of space. Ive been been wanting to expand my tool box and storage capacity and this is the perfect solution. Thanks for sharing.

I just bought the Nanuk case and judging by your photo did you remove the pressure regulator at the top of th case to allow you to fasten the new bracket.?

Yes the Nanuk case needs the pressure valve removed. Sorry for the delay in posting. I've been out of internet enjoying the bike!!!
Yea, I removed it and used 2” angle aluminum for the bracket. Perfect fit!
