Hello, has anyone mounted a tow behind trailer? I like some of the ebike trailers, but they are manufactured for bicycles, not motor bikes. Any ideas?

A few people have used the Kipmoto SherpaX trailer with the CT125:

@Bar None on these forums has used a bicycle trailer:

I will be a naysayer here:
Not all bicycle trailers are equal for sure.

The Burley Trailer mount for the cargo trailer, even the extended version of the Burley Trailer mount, would definitely not work with the CT125 mount point. If I was looking into compatibility, I'd first check the replacement hitches section. Also keep in mind that under the speed rating of the trailers, they're typically rated for 10-15 mph turning speed.

There's also a small possibility that a heavily loaded bicycle trailer will make the warnings in the Honda manual actually worth listening to. An acquaintance riding across America was using something similar to the Kipmoto but more fragile; it used the yoke to pivoting mount point approach (Bob bicycle trailers if you want to look it up). At higher speeds on a descent, the bob trailer's yoke will start to flex due to undulations in the road, the loading of the trailer, the speed she was at, and overall just the vehicle dynamics of what was happening. In her case she crashed, was thrown into a ditch with her bike and trailer, and had to be airlifted out several hours later when someone actually found her. This was caused by the inherent construction and usage they warn against, but it's a well known issue with single wheel trailers on bicycles.

Good to know, but I am only looking for a trailer for off road, slow speed use. 5-10 mph.

I have been using Aosom bicycle trailers towed behind my motorcycles and scooters for over 15 years on and off pavement.
After I wore out the bicycle tires I replaced them with pit bike tires but I wouldn't do that again as the bicycle tires worked just fine. I have towed up to 60 MPH but normally under 35 MPH.
Just have a farm triangle on the back and no problem with LEOs.

Also used the trailers behind my scooters and other motorcycles.
Never used it behind my long gone CT125 but will when I get another.
Again, I would just use bicycle tires on them. I have two of the trailers. One in the mountains of WNC and one here in SWFL. Real handy when going to the grocery store or garbage dump.

The hitch attaches to a shock mount . Here it is on one of my scooters.

Don't overload the trailer like my buddy Jim Tom Moonshiner did. LOL
I sold him one of the trailers and he used it all the time behind his liquor scooter (too many DUIs).
Wore out a lot of the bicycle tires on it.

Bicycle tires do come with speed ratings and I've never seen one as high as 60 mph, however that also assumes the weight of a person and drive wheel style calculations into it. I've never seen it be a problem, but with the rise of high speed eBikes there are eBike specific tires that actually are rated for high speed, which I assume would wear better.

The Aosom trailer is rated for 88 lbs so any quality 20" bicycle tire should be good to go.
I have towed it behind all the bikes below (except the Ural sidecar as it can carry plenty) plus others with no issues.

Here is one behind my long gone sidecar which I foolishly sold to a friend so he could ride around Barber ( he was recovering from a crash) and then they quit importing them into the USA.
Probably had 11 gallons of gas in the trailer. Our cabins in the mountains are pretty remote so it was nice to have some gas on hand.
