Hey there everyone. Has anyone been able to locate the traditional fuel sub tank like the old CT110s had back in the day? I know it was made at one point for the CT125 but it looks like it's been discontinued. I don't like the modern Jerry can style one. Minimoto still makes the bracket but not the tank. Pic is attached.

I would love to have one. If someone made a round plastic one with a reasonable price I would be all over it.

THAT would be really cool. Here's hoping that somebody starts manufacturing a new version of it.

I'd be down for one too! Would save having to carry a Roto Pak on the rear rack or an MSR Fuel bottle in my backpack.

Who is going more than 150 miles without seeing a gas station? And how often? Maybe 130 with the weight and wind drag being added to some of these….

I agree. Most of the time I carry extra fuel for the times I encounter someone else who has run-out. Only time I ever need to use the extra gas I carry is when I do longer (80-100) mile rides in the desert on one of my other bikes which don't have the range of the Trail.

I ride mine purely on trails while camping in the desert. Never touch a paved road all weekend. We leave first thing in the am and return to camp around sundown. I could easily carry a spare bottle of gas or the ugly flat red ones or fill up back at camp but the old school traditional one my grandpa’s 110 was rad and that’s what I want. We do hours and hours of deep sand trail riding and I certainly don’t get 100mpg lol.

I dont -need- a spare fuel can, i agree w AZ7000, its rare indeed. me? id dig it purely for the asthetics, maybe carry water in it. (if a new repop one was to come out in plastic or stainless)

Same except that I have only run ethanol free gas in mine since new and I have it for when I'm somewhere that it's not available.

A guy I work with showed me a picture of a CT-90 that was seized but had a good title and asked how much it would be worth, I told him $300??? He came by to show me and it had the extra fuel tank, bracket, and key in the bed and he said it had these too. Told him that was $400 alone on eBay!

Here's my DD, took the tank and bracket off the 74 before I sold it, swapped out the locks so a one key bike all around and painted the bracket red. I do love the aesthetics and have some ethanol free sloshing around on the inside. It was pretty rusty but the gas seems to pour out clear these days... And the range on a tank on this is closer to 100, has needed rings for 10+ years!

I would like a “new” one too, just for the looks mainly. But, it never hurts to have a little fuel for others.I’m not interested in a vintage one. Cost is the real reason. Maybe someone will see fit to make these again!

One of the reasons they are hard to find is that some people bought them up for non-CT use when CT bikes and parts were cheap. They were highly sought after by the Harley crowd for older Sportsters and choppers with peanut sized fuel tanks because they're such a good looking small aux tank. Back when more people rode motorcycles to Sturgis you'd see them mounted on tons of bikes carrying bedrolls. If someone were to repop them they'd likely hit a larger market than just the CT niche.

Who would have thought a Honda tank mounted on a Harley! Honda really should have brought the spare tank back with the 125, even if it was just an accessory!
