I was gifted a monstrously huge old Harley tour trunk. I'm in the process of cleaning it up for use. I'll be able to haul my camp and the kitchen sink with this thing

Here is a teaser, it's not mounted yet. I still have to paint it and seal some extra holes in the bottom. I will only use it for extended camping trips.

I have to ask, what is the max weight (total aside from rider) are you going to haul on this thing? I wouldn't put a box that big on my concours.

I agree it is hilarious, it's not about hauling a lot of weight, it's about keeping my 25 lbs of gear dry. And it was free! Function over Form.

id be more worried about wind pushing it around. buddy of mine had a 1050 sprint GT with a tail box like that on his he got thrown all over the place in higher winds.

I'll be on dirt roads at 25-30 mph, wind won't be a concern. I'll only use it on rare occasions, and it's not bigger than my duffel anyway.

Thanks, it is a huge old thing, but man is it handy. I've put the pelican case back on, but I'm happy to have that big rascal when I need it.
