As an fyi, this is a fairly common issue on groms, has been for years. since it shares the same part as the trail, i will be installing this within a few days as preventative.

why you might ask? the rubber wheels DO come apart and will leave bits of rubber in your motor & the cam gear slapping aroud. I've seen it 1st hand, even on stock motors over time.

Never had a problem on my grom unless going big bore. Id rather not take it all apart for an issue I have not seen come up very much.

I get that. but its not hard to do at all, less than an hour to do, and i've seen it happen 1st hand on higher mileage stockers. Also, the size of the bore has nothing to do with the wear. Roller bearing with no chance of slipping on chain vs rubber wheels on a pivot.
