USPS - Bad as they say?

I'd heard about USPS being quite behind in deliveries, though I hadn't gotten anything shipped from them in a while. I ordered a pair of boots from an eBay seller and they shipped them via USPS Priority Mail, with tracking. They were originally supposed to drop on April 30th, but since then things have gone bad:

For the last few days there are no updates, just "In Transit, Arriving Late." Livingston NJ is 2 hours drive from my house, 100 miles. Anybody else having this type of experience with USPS?

USPS sucks, they have lost several packages of mine in the last couple of month's. I will happily pay more for UPS or FedEx

They won't tell you, they just say it's "Arriving later than expected". I have one that's been missing since the 24th of March. If they make it, they are weeks over due. The postal service needs to be out of the Governments hands and privatized.

Agree with previous comments about USPS. I get it that covid caused major delays initially, but management has been asleep at the wheel for this to go on as long as it has. "Arriving late" and "In transit to the next facility" seems to be the standard tracking comment for priority mail. Maybe this is the new normal we're supposed to get used to.

This past Thursday morning I want to mail an envelope.
Me: you have overnight delivery?
PO: of course!

Me: 27 dollars later, she stamps it and says guaranteed delivery by Saturday noon.
Me: that doesnt sound like overnight.
PO: dirty looks.

No real problems where I am at. My wife uses them all the time to ship out her small biz goods and has had few issues.

Just had a CT workshop delivered to the UK seven days from ordering. Excellent service.

HI Dogsbody, I am in the UK, High Peak and have just taken delivery of a Honda CT 125 Trail.
I am interested in buying a repair / workshop manual. I clicked on the site you have given and a search didn't come up with the CT125.
Is there any chance that you could supply the ISBN ?

Just dug through the Honda section of the site and this is the CT125 service manual.

Those of us in the USA have been buying it from Helm directly, but not sure on their international shipping.

Helm wanted almost $200 for manual a delivery to the UK. Yes it is listed as Honda Trail 125.

I rejoice when FedEx hands off to USPS in our area. FedEx is horrible, they put in senseless reasons for your package being late, like 'business closed'. I'm a house at the end of a cul-de-sac. I get 200 packages a year and our USPS never lost a one. Often late around the holidays, but always arrives in decent time. UPS is by far the best around here. And Amazon. But man I hate to order from Amazon....

had some parts for my 66 galaxie sitting in St Paul Minnesota for no good reason for 8 days at a mail hub.... thanks USPS. I agree, FedEx is actually worse, which is hard to believe. Hopefully they can get their s*it together next year with management change.

As an end consumer, I don't have much choice. Since the US got the T7 and CT125 last ALL my farkles come from Europe, Australia, Taiwan, Japan or Canada😁. As for Cory, I pretty much have everything he's made for the T7, he always seems to be one step ahead of what I'm wanting to do. Maybe it's my dirt bike background?

And I ain't complaining, at least I was able to score a Tenere' 700 and CT125😬
