Cleaning up and I came across an old rack and bag from I think Ducati ST4 that has long been sold. Sat it on the back of the Trail and love it. I just used heavy duty zip ties for now ….and I think it is plenty strong. Bag mounts with sleeve in either direction. Has a perimeter zipper to attach another of their bags if desired but this is plenty big. They don’t sell this style anymore and new ones are a bit more aerodynamic but the price was right!IMG_0805.jpegIMG_0808.jpegIMG_0807.jpegIMG_0810.jpeg

Very practical and if the initial cost is not an issue a very simple answer to carrying gear - even keeps a helmet out of sight

I wonder if you have overdone the securing a tad? If the two white zip ties were angled outboard and around the back of the uprights with a third, as you have now, in the centre then it might be just as secure while mounting and demounting the arrangement would take just moments - especially if the heavy duty re-usable ties were used

looks slick. I'm a big fan of improvise adapt and overcome, so zip ties and some ingenuity are cool to me.
