Want to improve your riding skill? Install a camera on your handle bars pointing directly at the trail in front of you. Go for a fairly challenging ride and then watch the video of yourself. You may be amazed at what you see, how many gear shifts did you screw up? How often did you pick the wrong line thru? What speed did you maintain? How smooth are you? The answer to all these questions can be seen in the video, but it's important to mount the camera on the bike instead of your body, your interested in the bikes movement not your chest or helmet, it's 2 different things trust me. Then watch your ride a few times you'll find something different each time. You don't have to post these or show anyone but watch them until you can visualize it and then ride and video the same route again, how did you do?
