What is this bolt size on the OEM headlight mounts?

M6, 18mm length. You will want to use a longer bolt if the grill mounts with a bracket external to the headlight bracket. Bring one bolt with to the hardware store to be sure. They go into plastic in the headlight assembly so don't over tighten. Do you have a photo of the grill you bought? Was it meant to fit the CT125?
Thank you for the info and advice as always @dmonkey! I bought this grill from eBay (shipped from Thailand) back in December 2022 during winter here in VT. I don't think it's for the CT125 specifically, but the seller confirmed that it fits on their CT125 when I asked and I took their word for it (My mistake).
I didn't get around to actually trying to install it on my bike until this past weekend because the weather was finally nice. The mounting bracket measures 182mm across on the inside which is too narrow to fit on the Trail. More so, the mounting holes on the grill don't remotely line up with the holes on the trail anyway even if the spacing was wide enough.
I'm pretty sure this is a generic guard sold under any number of brand names. If anyone sees it online, I would not recommend getting it.
That's a shame, sorry to hear it sounds like it's not going to fit. To clarify the bolt you circled in your picture goes into a metal captive nut on each side, but that is held in place by plastic. I have the Kijima headlight guard on mine and I can see what you mean, the tabs on my headlight guard look much longer and like they flare out to a diameter wider than the headlight which lets them fit on the outside of the red triangle plastic headlight mounting brackets on each side of the fork.
Maybe not as aesthetically pleasing, but I put it on there to reduce rock chips to the headlight.
K-Speed/Diablo make a metal one that has a similar grid design to what you ordered, but for the CT125. Unfortunately quite spendy.
