They knocked the dealer prep to $760. I wouldn’t have gone for that. Yea it’s expensive. But I got one and have been enjoying the poop out of it. Extended warranty yea I know $500. I had Honda three wheelers as a kid and never did any oil changes or maintenance. Just rode and abused them. It’s covered for five years. So whatever I guess.

That is all that matters.

I was number 10 on the list in Southern Maine back in October/November. I visited again a couple of time before it finally came in, in January. It's the only one they're getting (we'll see) but I made it all the way to first on the list, and bought it. I brought it home a couple of months later. I have about 50 miles on it so far....

Reached out to a dealer 3 hours away I had heard they had one in stock. Attached is their reply.... this is getting comical.

I bought their last 2019 Talon from them before the craziness started. $20K out the door. They were very reasonable then. Tried to buy a CT from them, and was told they weren't selling the one they had. found mine in Florida. About $5300 OTD with Florida plates (my dad lives there) but it did cost almost $600 to ship it.

It seems some dealers are taking advantage of the Honda Trail 125 shortage.
Doesn't Honda frown on Dealers charging way over MSRP?

Got mine today! Paid ~$5200 otd. I went in to pull my deposit out after no change in months but they offered the floor model and I jumped on it. My friends and family think its ridiculous that they waited that long to give up the floor model but im just happy to have my first bike and start adventuring with it.

Deeply saddens me how, unscurpulous we can be to each other.
 I expect in a few months I will get a bike then , I guess it means I can save money until then.

Just got a call from my dealer to advise mine is unloaded in the country (Australia) and they expect it to be ready for pickup before the end of the month.
Bike at the dealer, couldn’t get there today due to work...and now we’re into a snap seven day lockdown! So close & yet so far.

Edit: now paid for & registered so technically I’m now a CT owner...but I’m disallowed to travel to to the metro area to pick it up. Delivery being arranged.

Have to say that despite all the hurdles, the bike actually arrived from Honda on time and the dealer has been great with communication and problem-solving. It’s been pleasing to receive such a high level of dealer service for what is one of the cheapest new bikes I’ve ever bought.
