Hello everyone. I am the proud new owner of a 2023 Honda Trail 125. I cannot express how thrilled I am to finally join the motorcycle community and I wanted this bike in particular as my first one. I have thought about this for many years I am 44 now.

I have to say it's fantastic so far. As well as being drop dead gorgeous I get stares and compliments from everyone/and inquiries. It fits me perfectly for riding position as well and love the feel of the bike.

I am looking at certain mods/accessories. Won't go too overboard initially but was wondering thoughts on a windscreen. Anyone have one on or have experience with these give advice on if they recommend doing it or leaving as it? Is it safety having it/cutting the wind? Or perhaps experience with it is mixed after installing? If so, which particular size or type recommended? Does it alter the viewing experience having on one?

The other mod am strongly considering is that Opmid M1204 Multi Meter. The stock is nice but that Opmid gives so much addition info it's hard not to like it..

Thanks for taking the time to read and reply. Cheers.

Welcome to the club! Wind screens are nice on high speed motorcycles. But you either need to get one tall enough that it sends the airstream over your head, or low enough that the airstream hits your upper chest. If you get one in the middle, it will make things noisy and buffety as it sends that air under your chin or on your face screen. Generally speaking, I prefer a full faced helmet to a windscreen unless the bike is a big touring model. Full face helmets can eliminate much of the wind noise, and keep the air from drying out your eyes. Plus they are the safest style of helmet you can buy. Happy riding!

If you do the OPMID, consider doing the USB install too as to get to the wiring for the positap approach, you would need to do about half the steps of the OPMID anyway. I've linked my post for doing it below, but I'd actually just watch the videos. Installation was pretty easy, but I did note that 1) record your odometer before you start, as you won't get another chance and 2) the back of the OPMID doesn't use the washers that are used on the OEM gauge.

My mod post on the USB install: https://hondatrail125.com/index.php...enance-probably-like-an-idiot.753/#post-10013

I have heard of issues with some of the OPMID add ons here, never heard of an issue with stock. For hundreds of dollars I want things to be better, not worse!

AZ7000: Ah really? That's disappointing if true. I like the stock it's not bad. But the OPMID is really impressive. Obviously if these issues are true that would deter me. If anyone has experienced these issues or could point me in the direction for further research I will do just that before making any hasty decisions.

SneakyDingo: You are so right. If I do go to the trouble of taking panels off etc I will include that as part of this instal. The USB plug is a handy feature probably a no brainer minimum accessory to add to the bike.

TRF90: Thanks for the info on Windscreens. I do have a full face helmet and use it for sure wth the visor down. It's a great help when riding and much safer. About the screen, I think the idea there is for wind resistance. I notice when I get going in 4th, if the wind picks up it's not the heaviest bike so was wondering if the screen would make the riding experience more aerodynamic. Not a big deal but I have seen different sized screen on this bike in my research on accessories so was looking for feedback with those with experience with these on the Trail 125. Thanks again for the comments guys!!!

Wisco125 do you have a link for the larger version? Thats the one I'm looking for, I like the bar mount to mount my Zumo XT.
Pics of the mount on riser would be great too if you can?
