All set and ready to leave on my solo trip around Australia!

Took me a while to get organised, but looking forward to what's ahead.

First-time motorbike rider at age 74, so will be a learning curve!

Hope to share some of my journey with you here.

Five days in on my trip around Oz! Cruised down to Sydney from the Gold Coast - 3 nights camping and one night of amazing hospitality from Colin and his wife in Sydney. We met when I bought this bike from him. Such a great community! Followed the coast down to Nowra where I’m camping again tonight. So far, so good. 🙌

Windy few days in Victoria. Sheltered in Lakes Entrance for a couple of days and battled the winds down to Foster. Cold and windswept, but travelling on!

Hi everyone! Since my last update I’ve cruised down the Great Ocean Road and crossed the border into South Australia. Spent a couple of days in Adelaide and now in Port Pirie, preparing to cross the Nullarbor over the next week or so. The bike is holding up great. So far I’ve travelled 3,800km.

Successful crossing of the Nullarbor (despite a rear puncture). I’ve hit the 6000km mark and have met some great people - lots of travellers on bikes and motorbikes, which is great to see! Had the bike serviced in Esperance. Heading towards Perth now.
