Canada 2023 tool kit with Trail 125

The parts fiche for the toolbox have the spanners and spark plug wrench listed as “(optional)”. Toolbox maybe ~$20ish in ”official Honda” parts if you want to go that way. Or similar possibly found at Harbor Freight for ~$1.79 or so… 🤭🤔

[USA] American Honda Confirms Honda Trail 125 return for 2024

And it gets worse! I went 853 on it. The best bike Ducati never made. It was my original giggle generator! And when I got my green Trail 125, I found THE original giggle generator! (For reference, I do call the 853 the “Naughty Librarian”. ) 😈

My Opinion on the 2023 stock sprocket setup... Or maybe why I was too hasty on buying the 13T sprocket.

I too have decided to re-try the 14 tooth front. It is quite the balance… The 14 is a bit slower at the start, and the 13 is “peppier” off the line. But I also find that with the 13, I’m shifting while only 3/4 way thru the intersection, and shifts from 1st to 2nd seem to be a bit...

I take delivery on a 2024 Honda CT125 in May

I agree on using the healer/corrector. As another data point, I went back to the 14-tooth front (with the healer/corrector still set @ 10.0%) and got the error. But not always in a similar way. When I first changed it, it happened within about a mile of 30 mph start-stop riding, on my way...

Day-yum! I’ve got a few 100k miles on bikes across our wonderful country, but all on pavement, and I only ski or go cager when it is snowing.

Remember the stripped drain hole? I am back on the road!

I didn’t even know about the extinguisher mounts. I got a few of these. https://twistedthrottle.com/shop/luggage/fuel-bottles-and-mounts/dryspec-universal-adjustable-bottle-mount/ I already had a few MSR bottles, and figured these could work for the Trail as well as for the FJ and ST...

I told a bit of a fib when I said my bike was stock when I did a 115 on it , I had these . I took some Kodak Browney shots of the parts.

The red ones are fast, but the royal purple ones are “magically“ fast! I’m headed to Bonneville! Top speed results… soon.

I take delivery on a 2024 Honda CT125 in May

As an addition, having a ‘23 (and working with 12oclocklabs to use their corrector), (before corrector installation) installing a 13-tooth front sprocket (with stock tires) did not cause ABS to fault. But the speedo was off by +10%. I was after an accurate speedo and with the addition of the...

For Sale 2023 OEM Adjustable Rear Shocks

They only offer some preload adjustment, but that is very much a part of suspension setup. And since preload addresses initial load (rider weight, etc.) and this is not a performance bike, it certainly can help. Or, as my Dad would say, “better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick.”

Why can I not get to this site via my phone

I had a similar issue with my iPad. I found that if I go to Settings > Safari, scroll to the bottom and select Advanced > Website Data. I found the entry for this site and deleted it (swipe left), the issue went away. Give it a shot.

Who here is running the Takegawa big brake setup?

I just started searching 260, 265, and 270mm rotors and looked for a 4-bolt mount that seemed close to the 125mm dia centers I’d need. When one looked good, I’d find the biggest pic I could of it and measured it, calculating the scale of the known measurement (outer dia). The Kawi looked VERY...

I take delivery on a 2024 Honda CT125 in May

Well, I’m still hoping that is the situation. But I ain’t sat down and signed nor paid-on-full for nothin’, yet… Well, I’m hopeful, yet reserved and cautious. I will wait until June (yes, deposit down on a yellow 2024) to be proud.

Who here is running the Takegawa big brake setup?

As an update, had a 50+ mile ride today and the oversize Kawi disk is lovely! No issues at all. For the record, I did put in EBC HH pads with this disk. Wasn’t a requirement, but did it and to record the combo.

Who here is running the Takegawa big brake setup?

Yes, but remember that the mounting holes do need slight modification. It was not difficult, but I do not want anyone to think I’m saying it is drop-in plug-and-play.

I take delivery on a 2024 Honda CT125 in May

Was at the local dealer today (picking up ordered service parts) and inquired about the 2024 CT125 situation. They are getting 1 in April and then some in June (he was speaking very non-committed, and they have a bigger, i.e. closer to Austin, dealership down the road a piece. So maybe more of...

Update on my return/replace situation… Webike has been great. I wish the response from Takegawa was as impressive: From Webike customer support: We apologize for the delay in contacting you. We received the following response from the manufacturer...

    Soft Bag Fuel Container

I contemplated both and went with the Giant Loop (2gal). What I don’t like about rigid containers is the dedicated mounting hardware required. The “rigid” option just seemed more expensive and the mounting doesn’t appear compatible with other “luggage/storage” options, so became an either/or...
