    Ever seen one of these?

    Oh cool! Turkish trail 125. And 69mph @21:12 from a 10.5hp 125. How'dey do dat, Honda?

Roof Top Tents. Yay or Nay?

Very nice design work! Love seeing this kind of stuff 👍

Help me decide... Hopefully this is the year, Torn between Trail and 300Rally

Well, if you get the 300Rally you're bound to find yourself in situations where you really want a Trail. And if you get the Trail, you're bound to find yourself in situations where you really want a 300Rally. Welcome the the great, insolvable dualsport conundrum.

    TOP SPEED

Hey Fish, what elevation were you at? Based on an effective stock tire diameter, measured rolling with me as the load, of 22.5" OD (realizing load/weight & air pressure can alter that OD slightly), with stock gearing 14/39 that's right about 7,200RPM. Sneaky, do you get the same RPM?

    Sold 2023 OEM Seat

FYI, price on a brand new 2023 Honda CT125 seat is $89.34, free shipping, from RMATV-MC. Just sayin'

Noises at idle when running hot

Run it again with exact same conditions, warm up, prep etc as you did in the video. Then idle it in neutral while pressing down on the shift lever firmly (disengages the clutch) and see if the noise changes. Repeat with the bike in gear (on center stand), repeat in gear with enough pressure on...

FIRST DAY WITH NEW 2023 TRIAL

Wecome Steve.B! Just cut the rear section of the shift lever completely off! IMNSHO here... I put up with that heel shifter extension for about the first six months (far too long), trying to develop a technique and an adjustment for it to function satisfactorily: heel-toe, front-toe/back-toe...

Same  Good looking setup, CarolH. 2023 looks good in red! What kind of taibox is that?

    Trail or Grom

Just another interesting idea to consider... These two guys demonstrate worthy extensions to the concept of the "adventure bike" off road! I like their style 👍

What do you think of the bike now?

You're right, and neither do you - do you? 😂 I do appreciate the between-the-lines encouragement though!

Passenger seat and foot peg combo?

You might take a look on eBay, too. Beez lists some of their more popular offerings there, but not all of them. At the time I bought rear pegs, Beez wasn't listing the OEM-style ones on eBay. So I simply messaged Beez and asked if they would price match the lowest priced Thai seller I found on...

What do you think of the bike now?

Thanks for the machine/model history tips dmonkey. I've yet to get too deep into it and not sure if I'll end up using Honda ONS gears & shafts or cut my own. For sure I'll have to design & cut new casings specific to the 125's setup. Would much rather use their gears/shafts if it works out...

What do you think of the bike now?

Ridden since 12 y/o, have always kept riding, now in my late 60's I've had many motorcycles come and go and still own several. The Trail 125 - I researched, test rode, approached this Donk group with questions/comments/feedback before hand and so pretty much realized what i was getting into by...

    Opmid speedometer/multimeter

That would be the Opmid. Has programmable speedo for tire size, sprockets size/combo, tach (max/range programmable RPM display, e.g. 10k, 12k), max temperature warning (settable to whatever temp you choose), fuel gauge, ABS warning and the other indicators that OEM/Honda featured. It's approx...

Don't forget to insert the proper jet fuel cartridges in those propulsion pods!

Got the fever and got 1 chance to get it right or doghouse.

Height/weight/ability/experience? Based on what you've indicated, CFR300 would be more than enough. Practically CRF is going to net ~325lbs easily by the time you've added a few accessories etc. For trail work clearly keep weight in mind. I use '02 XR250R, love it for casual, technical, trails...

    Fog lights

Nice scale & design fit for the Trail. I'd like to see pics of these in action. Post a few comparo photos demo'ing illumination: headlight-only vs. headlight+LEDs on dark road for example? Thx!

    Cheap extra fuel storage.

Maybe, maybe not. Been in a few+ situations including O/R and highway for gas in-need, but not me who's needed it, always someone in our group or m/cyclist stranger. Not much different than tire pumps and patch kits or other tools FTM if you want to think of it that way. Fixed more flats for...

    Another vintage project

After my own heart! First "real" road bike was a 1978 KZ650SR. Bought brand new in '78 for $2,200 OTD (couldn't afford a Bonnie) very fast bike in its day! The SR came equipped with a special edition tank, candy apple red paint, dual front discs, rear disc, 2 into 1 crossovers, higher bars, and...
