please help - Looking for advice / feedback - weird buzzing sound when I turn the ignition or kill switch on

Perfectly normal I think. Mine has always done this. I believe it is the Idle Air Control Valve (16430-K0G-901) being pulsed by the PGM-FI Unit (38770-K2E-A01). Some sort of start up test I presume.

Where can i find OEM rear foot pegs ?

I bought all the parts from WeBike, using the part numbers from the Australian parts list. Not the least expensive solution but the parts quality is A+. All the numbers containing K2E are unique for the Trail125. 50710-KTE-910 QTY 2 Pillion Rubber 50711-K2E-J00 Right Pillion Bar 50712-K2E-J00...

Who's got one on order? And more importantly, what news have you heard?

Hey guys - Naults is showing a CT125 at their Manchester NH store, VIN is shown as MLHJA5553M5002432. I've no idea if it is actually available, though having a real VIN seems hopeful.

POLL - Is your front tire farther to the driver's right side?

I measured the distance from the fender support to the edge of the rim, and mine is off-center to the right by .045". Update (Edit): I redid my fender stay to rim gap measurements, and rotated the front wheel to check 4 places: Left Right 1.215 1.160 1.210 1.220 1.213 The Mitutoyo...

    Exhaust modification consequences

This is true in closed loop, is it also true in open loop (i.e. heavy acceleration)? I'd read open loop uses look-up tables and ignores O2 sensor feedback.

    Does this look normal?

Mine is dead even within the front fender, as m_in_sc says. Your picture looks as if that isn't true for yours.

    Chain tightening (Instructions please)

At 25 miles I put a DID428VX o-ring chain on. I knew I'd put one on eventually, by doing it when the bike is new there was no need to replace the sprockets. With the centerstand it's super easy, just use the old master link to daisy chain and roll the new chain into position. I know there's...

    USB Charger

Sorry, I tried to be clear about the fact this is a Socket, not a USB adapter. Certainly didn't mean to mislead you! I found an Amazon Basics Lightning car charger with an 18" coiled cord to go with it, super inexpensive and does exactly what I was looking for. The "K2E" in the part number...

    Members by Serial Number

Correct - until recently the last 4 looked like 0xxx so the 0 was dropped, now we've broken well into the xxxx range.

    USB Charger

Not the charger you asked for, but Honda makes the 12v port specifically for this bike: Honda 08U70-K2E-J00 Kit, Acc Socket. Available from WeBike, but you'll have to get creative wiring it into the headlight bucket because our bikes are missing the auxiliary connector. Fits like a glove, and...

    Engine oil

You are correct - the clutch is bathed in engine oil so there's an issue with friction reducers that are in automotive oils. It's a JASO MA thing.

    Size of Oil Drain Plug

No, it is an M12x1.5mm thread, I believe.

Who's got one on order? And more importantly, what news have you heard?

Naults, at their Manchester NH store, is currently showing two ct125 as available - serials 1462 and 1588. A couple of years ago I've bought from their Windham NH store, and they're good guys. I hope that helps someone ...

Installing the Honda 12v Acc Socket on a USA ct125

Hi Randy, Sorry, didn't take any pics, but it is super easy. To pick up the switched hot wire make up a 5" or 6" 3-wire harness for the ignition switch using the 250.LOC-3P at one end and the 250.LOC-3S at the other (see the Corsa-Technic site for these connectors). Of the three wires, the...

Installing the Honda 12v Acc Socket on a USA ct125

The Honda 12v Accessory Socket Kit 08U70-K2E-J00 (available from WeBike) is a nice quality factory part but the USA Trail 125’s do not have the mating connector to support it. The 12v power (both switched and continuous) and ground are in the headlight bucket but I did not want to alter the...

    PSA - Lock 'dat Box!

Sorry Astro, I misread your initial comment, totally my mistake. I've seen several people suggest that the lock doesn't work well, and that the door can open on its own. I wanted to say that initially I thought that too, but later realized I wasn't fully engaging the lock. Again sorry Astro - my...

    PSA - Lock 'dat Box!

You guys know that the latch needs to rotate 90 degrees in order to be fully latched? At first I was reluctant turn it so far because it felt like something was about to break, but looking closer on mine I could see the latch needs to turn a full 90 degrees (clockwise) and in doing so it drops...

    Could some kind soul ..

Using a tape measure, the horizontal dimension is 9 3/16" (+ a bit, but not enough to get you to 9 1/4"), and the vertical dimension is 3 3/8" (but only 2 9/16" to the top of the clamp bridge, but I know that isn't what you asked for in your sketch). I don't see a reason why you couldn't scoot...

    Greetings from the high desert

Hi Eric - some of the 'usual suspects' have the parts list available, for instance try HondaPartsNation, it's a 2021 CT125a. Hopefully Revzilla will get the parts list online one of these days. It's a great idea to have your spares ready. Have fun.
