    My Dimple plug arrived today. Its thread length plus the magnet looked identical to the thread length of the OEM plug on my 2023, so no clearance issue possible. I may lose a bit thread engagement but it looks fine. The 17mm nut has a pre-drilled hole for safety wire but I'm not going to use...

    Just changed my oil and filter, both very dirty for only 150 miles.

    Mine turned out at 50mm with only 150 miles on the bike. After tightening it back to around 30mm, did a test ride, and surprisingly the shift from 1st to 2nd gear was a lot easier. I used to have to push the lever hard from 1st to 2nd, now it seemed easier.

    Dimple Magnetic Drain Plug anyone?

    Did a bit more digging. Gold Plug didn't say what kind of magnet they used. Dimple said "Regular neodymium magnets lose magnetism at only 175 degrees Fahrenheit. Dimple's® Black Hole High Temperature Magnets are rated at over 300 degrees." Maybe it's just moot.

    Just double checking if there'd be any clearance issue, but the thread lengths are the same 12mm it should be good. Dimple has been available 10+ years. I always thought Dimple was THE brand for quality magnetic plugs made in the US, until I got the 125 and came across this forum.
