Hey everyone! I thought I would make my own thread to document/highlight my CT125 build progress. I purchased my 2023 CT at the end of May and have enjoyed this minimoto so much. The only regret I had post purchase was the hill climb power and even top speed even though I fully realize that, out of the box, that’s not what this machine was made for. As you can see, I eventually sent my bike to Wayne at the Speed Shop to fix that.

Only 2023 in the state at time of purchase!!

Upgraded with MotoSkills engine crash bars, center rack, and headlight guard. Added covers to the turn signals and taillight. Also installed the Big Ant crate for around town!

And then the real fun began…Huge shoutout to Wayne at the Speed Shop in Georgia!! Custom painted to match my Jeep, 181cc Neo engine Upgrade, 5 speed semi auto, Over racing titanium exhaust, A-Racer minix & AF2, Opmid gauges. Now I can hit 75mph top speed and can cruise at 65mph which I also never plan to. But I can climb hills with ease and not feel threatened in 50-55mph zones.

I’m so so happy with my build. Some will argue that it’s not what it was made for and the cost and all that.. I’m not here to say this is everyone’s option or desire, but I’m so so excited that I had the opportunity. I plan to keep this bike for many years and it truly makes me super happy now with the upgrades.

I added 2.75 and 3.00 Duro HF308s, MotoWolf crossbar, and a Corbin seat since I’ve had it back home with me. I’m looking at windshields and will add the Barkbusters handguards soon as well.

I have an astonishing number of questions. This is just... wow. Absolutely amazing. Really, really impressive. Was the HondaPro Kevin CT125 to 181 build used for inspiration in any way?

Well done. After doing the SCB at 33mph for 3100 miles, I've been in contact with Wayne, but didn't pull the trigger. I was thinking about dropping it off on the way back from Hilton Head. Not to say that I won't send it to him at some point. ;)

I followed on FB. Wayne does nice work, and yours came out beautiful!

BTW, the Corbin seat has been the best mod I've put on the bike. It made doing the SCB possible.
