Hey folks - just went to add crash bars on my ‘23 CT125, and it looks like Honda has changed how the OE bars mount. Instead of bolting to a flange, the bars appear to be welded to the flange from the factory.

Crash bars I picked up: https://k-speed.com/en-us/collections/ct125-parts/products/k-speed-ct71 (supposed to be for ‘23)

This is at the very front mount, near the head tube (the one with the 6mm hex bolts).

Anyone else seeing the same? Bike is a North American/US model.

I ordered same bars Aug 11th. vvmororsports42 on ebay. $221. Rcvd email stating shipped 8/11. Rcvd bogus tracking # & they've extended delivery time fm 9/5-106 to 9/18-10/17. Site now says out of stock & suggests going to unrelated lincs.
Read the reviews too late this time.. They don.t care. They keep the $ then paypal refunds & ya start over elsewhere. Aaaah, people.

That's probably where I orig ord it Aug 11. They responded next day item shipped with an inefective tracking number.
They gave me 1 long time frame like yours then a few weeks later extended it.
i initiated a paypal investigation this past friday.
I'll re-order the same guards again after this is resolved but probably from beezdeels.
Better luck to you. Plse follow up with your "rest of the story."👍🏻😃

I ordered the same bars from Beesdeels. I paid an extra $10 shipping to get them in 7 days and they came in 6.

Thought I would review these engine guard/ crash bars for the 2023 Honda Trail 125. Note that it is V2. They make some that look very similar for the pre 2023 model called V1.

Just got them yesterday. They appear to be high quality and are finished beautifully. Also they look as good or better than any I have seen. Most importantly they have nuts welded on for the skid plate to attach! (Not all of them have this feature.) This is important for the 2023 model Trail because you may have to remove the skid plate to change the oil filter on the 23 model. (You will not have to fool around with nuts and washers on this unit.) Another feature I noticed is that they feel lightweight. I don’t know if this will be important to others or not. But I like to keep the weight down if possible.
They where easy to install but I did have to go to a youtube video to figure out how to take the OEM engine guards off. (There were no instructions with the units.) They would have been a lot easier if I had not tightened any of the nuts until the skid plate was installed. I had to keep going back and loosening nuts to align each hole.

I don’t have these yet but one thing I really appreciate about this design is the crossbar that connects the two sides of the crash bars to help distribute the load. The new crash bars that showed up on Amazon recently don’t have that and it seems pretty important.
