Hello all. I purchased my Trail about a month ago, and I'm super excited to have started the build out for it. I look forward to seeing everyone else's ideas they have put together and following along on others' journeys as well. Thanks to this amazing forum for inspiration and help with my build so far. I'll post more pics under the general discussion page when I build it out. :)

I would put some miles on it before making any major changes. It is a well made little mule that does what it was intended to do and it does so with no drama. The Big Ant is a good option for the CT. Have the med. With that and bungee "cargo net" its a good errand runner.

Enjoy your new bike. Like many, I use a milk crate bolted to rear rack.

Waterproof drawer liner cut to size, bolts and fender washers!
I used 4x 5/16 x 1 1/2" washers from Home Depot if that helps. The bolts are M6 bolts, the most difficult part is getting the correct length (which depends entirely on the crate you choose)

Perfect!! I saw that in another post as well and installed an Apache 4800 box. I’ll probably get a clever crate for different items when going to the grocery store if needed.

Here is a good comparison of the two different crate sizes if your thinking of going with the Big Ant.

I’m ultimately going with the Apache 4800 with the small Big Ant attached on top.

I mounted the Med Big Ant on the rear of the rack. This leaves room to grab the rail when putting the bike on the center stand.

Congrats on the bike! The green is really nice. I opted for a lockable box which fits my helmet plus other stuff. Here's the thread where I posted the install pics:
