$5 Windscreen
Looking at the windscreen mounting tabs on the Honda genuine accessory front rack, it occurred to me that I should make use of them. Rationalized as a temporary experiment, though knowing full well it will probably be there for a long time, I proceeded to fashion a little cowl out of available material.
The material available was a $5 trash can from Walmart, you know, the purveyor of fine motorcycling products Not ashamed to say this isn't my first trashcan windscreen, though fear it may not be my last. The existing curvature and size of the can made a helpful starting point.
Tools used: tin snips, sharp blades, sandpaper/file, drill and Dremel Tool. Pretty sure it's against the law to fabricate anything without using a Dremel Tool?? Was hoping it would shade the Instruments Cluster to improve its daylight visibility, alas, no such luck.
Admittedly, wind blast at top speed isn't a thing, so the effort could be relegated to cosmetics. It's sturdy enough though, doesn't hamper forward visibility or impede use of the front rack, and it almost looks like it belongs.
